This policy explains how eligible customers can request warranty service for GP batteries, inverters, and MINI ESS products purchased directly from Global Power (GP), including through GP-operated online storefronts. Keep your proof of purchase and product serial number. This policy applies together with the applicable product manual and purchase documents. If a signed, model-specific warranty applies, that document controls the product-specific terms, subject to applicable law.

Warranty terms begin on the original purchase date shown on valid proof of purchase. To receive a registration extension, complete GP registration within 90 days of purchase. Use the registration link on GP’s official website when available. If the online registration process is not available, email Customer Support within the 90-day period and keep GP’s written confirmation of your registration. The extension takes effect after GP confirms registration.
2. How to request service
- Stop using the product if you notice smoke, unusual heat, swelling, liquid leakage, a burning smell, or another safety concern. Follow the product manual’s safety instructions and contact GP. Do not open the unit.
- Contact GP before arranging a repair, return, or replacement. Do not ship a product until GP provides written authorization and shipping instructions.
- Provide your order or invoice number, model and serial number, purchase date, description of the issue, photos or video, system configuration, any alarms or error codes, and troubleshooting already performed. Include registration confirmation when requesting service during an extended term.
- GP may request reasonable diagnostic information or safe troubleshooting steps. Do not dismantle, modify, or arrange repair of the product without GP’s written authorization.
3. Claim review, costs, and service
GP will review the information provided and determine whether the reported issue is covered. GP may repair the product, provide replacement parts, or replace the product, depending on the issue and product condition. GP must approve a return or replacement in writing before shipment. Keep the original packaging when practical, especially for shipping a heavy battery.
The warranty term in Section 1 remains in effect for its full stated duration. The cost terms below do not shorten that warranty term.
For a claim that is not covered or is made after the warranty expires, the customer is responsible for diagnostic, parts, repair labor, and shipping costs. Before any customer-paid work or shipment is arranged, GP will provide a written estimate and obtain the customer’s approval. GP will not incur customer-paid charges without prior approval. Standard freight does not include shipping outside the contiguous United States, expedited service, liftgate service, inside delivery, remote-area surcharges, or other special carrier services. GP will disclose any additional charge in advance and obtain approval.
4. Coverage and common exclusions
This policy covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the applicable warranty term. A failure or damage caused by misuse, improper storage or installation, operation outside published specifications, incorrect wiring or system settings, unauthorized repair or modification, external electrical events, accidents, or natural disasters may not be covered. An exclusion applies to the extent the listed condition caused the failure or damage.
Owner-installed systems are eligible when owner installation is permitted by the applicable product manual and local requirements, and the installation follows all applicable instructions. Any requirement in the manual or local law for licensed or qualified personnel must be met.
This policy addresses warranty service. Returns, order cancellations, delivery damage, and products that arrive non-functional are handled under the applicable order policy and consumer law. For apparent shipping damage, keep the packaging and contact GP promptly with photos and delivery details.
